Think Progress:

Every single Republican in the House voted against the $819 billion Recovery Act in January. Among the Republican senators who voted against the stimulus were Texas' Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn. Both of them complained that they wanted to see more tax cuts rather than government spending.

But now, both Hutchison and Cornyn are pressuring the Obama administration to give Texas $3 billion in stimulus funds...

Sad for the many Texans that are sane - they have to live with the hypocracy that is Texas politics.

Sorry TX, you want the money you have to say Obama was RIGHT.

Easy to do.

Go on public television, go on Fake News, CNN, Kieth Olbermann and admit you want the money you voted against and then say, "Obama's the best and we will start working with him instead of being the party of NO NO NO NO".

Then it should be easy to get the money you whined you didn't need but insisted on more tax cuts for the rich.

At least until they get the money, then they will be back to becoming their own country again.

NASA just spent $72 mil to bomb the moon to see if there's water up there. Do WHAT??? Do Americans have to bomb everything in and out of this universe? This program needs a financial overhaul; delivery systems too outdated and costly, ROI unproven.

Put the blasting caps away and redesign the whole program in a leaner, meaner effort before any more money is spent. This is not a neccesity program, they can take a few years to modify their program according to our ability to pay for it.

Tell the Republicans to go home, they aren't doing anything anyway, especially the two from Tx. we never see them here until election time. Talk about bombing the Moon!

I agree. I think determining if there is water on the Moon is a low, low priority. Besides, what are we going to do--effect changes there that will ultimately prove even more disastrous than what we've done right here? Do we really know so much, scientifically, that we are certain that a blast capable of hurling debris 6 miles high (sounds nuclear to me) will not somehow affect the orbit, not to mention the tidal system right here?
