Theres A Map For That

*See video below*

The wireless wars are getting uglier. Verizon Wireless just released a snarky new ad that knocks AT&T's spotty service -- and this time, it's personal.

The new commercial chirpily touts Verizon's coverage with a refrain that mocks the iPhone's "There's an app for that" catchphrase: "If you want to know why your 3G coverage works so well on Verizon Wireless," says the narrator, "There's a map for that." Ouch.

WATCH:

Maybe Verizon will start being more civil once it's got the Android under its belt.

Verizon's coverage is not perfect either and there is a map for that http://deadcellzones.com/verizon.html

Here we go again, one company against another company. I think Verizon may have push really far this time - Hilarity and Exaggeration may not come in one piece. I hope after this bout, Verizon can still find their sense of humor.

We all know that AT&T service is now on a plummet but we also need to settle the facts first and see the side of AT&.
Updates: ATT had recently released a statement why they are suing Verizon. May the "there's a misinterpretaion for that that” image help you to understand better why AT&T is having a boiling-point over the matter.

Hint: The conflict is about not including AT&T’s Zedge 2.5G on the picture :D

Flame-on!

My wife has AT&T. It sucks. I had Verizon, it sucked. I am now with T-Mobile. So far no problems. We will wait and see.

I should clarify. My wife can only get reception in one room of our house. I had a Blackberry for work with Verizon and was constantly having issues with getting e-mail and having calls dropped. Their customer service was awful. I had been a customer since 1999 but they could care less. T-mobile is ok. They don't have 3g so it is slower for internet. I don't use that much so it is ok. The Blackberry support is good, customer service good and coverage good. The only issue I have is that it drops calls on Lake Shore Drive around Belmont. I have a friend with Sprint who is happy as well. Cricket is intriguiging but does not support Blackberries yet.

Always love seeing rivals go toe to toe. Can't wait to see the "I'm a mac" guy vs. "can you hear me now" dork. Oh the fun.

I thought it was hilarious how Verizon refered to ATT as "The Number Two Wireless Company".

Sadly, however, I'm dropping Verizon because they have donated a great deal of money to Teabagger groups.

But so has ATT, right? Not sure about Sprint. http://www.commoncause.org/site/pp.asp?c=dkLNK1MQIwG&b=1497377%20

Oops, didn't mean to imply I was switching to ATT. I might go with T-Mobile, but I should probably go with Credo- they donate a lot of money to progressive charities.

There's a map for that, but there's no i-phone at Verizon. I live in LA and just switched from Verizon to AT&T so I could get an i-phone.

I am pretty tech savy and the i-phone is the best device I have ever purchased, bar none and by a great margin.

I have had no service problems and even get service in the one place Verizon was spotty.

Get an i-phone, you will be very happy.

The thing which stopped me from getting an iPhone was how it needs to be charged so often.

I like my mobile devices to only need charging once every few days. With the new iPhone, it would need to be charged once or twice a day.

The maps are great visually, but what does the data tell us? AT&T covers as many people as Version. How do they do that? They focus primarily on metropolitan areas. Coverage in the Washington DC to Boston corridor is important, North and South Dakota, not so much (sorry).

Version?

The thing is, I am more likely to need my cell phone to call for help in the middle of nowhere, so that map's important to me. If you stay in the city, then probably the coverage isn't as important. But it's nice to get out and about. The Dakotas are beautiful.

Verizon knows all that red is 1-2G, the 3G is half that. They need to stop before Apple calls them on it.
