Puff iPhone App Simulates Looking Up Girls' Skirts (VIDEO)

For all of you out there who like looking up girls' skirts: there's an app for that.

The interactive Puff! iPhone app from BottleCube lets you "blow" up cute Japanese girls' skirts by blowing on the mic of your phone or tapping with your finger. The harder you blow, the higher the skirt -- and the girl's squeal.

One reviewer, who gave the app five stars, wrote:

"I'm getting lightheaded just blowing up the girls skirts [sic]."

According to the description on iTunes, the first version of the app features three girls to "be blow away by you in various situations," including at the office, in a park, and at a bar.

Apparently, "Winning a special bonus is all up to you!" Hmm....

This highlights a real problem in Japan. I spent a year teaching there. They have female-only cars in the metro because of the number of girls molested while in transit. Unfortunately these cars fill up fast. In every city there are areas where you will find streets lined with porno shops. In Osaka you will find the red light district run by the mob, young girls are on display in the window, many are taken from families that owe money. Women are far worse off in Japan. They try to play it off like it's cute and innocent, but it's sick and degrading.

If anything this is more comical than serious. lighten up with your usual american "omgz they are dehumanizing women."

You should see the kind of stuff they do to men in the gay magazines. S e x is very different than what it is in western society.

Can you explain why the Japanese cultural view of sex is superior? I've done years of graduate work in Japanese cultural studies and the culture in general has a very repressed and unhealthy view of sex. Of course there are plenty of exceptions, I know some very level-headed Japanese people who oppose the cultural fascination with certain approaches to sex. Just because something is widespread in a culture doesn't mean that it is a positive aspect of that culture, or even a benign one for that matter.

I spend a lot of time immersed in japanese pop culture (half my family being from there).... basically this is cute, silly, actually kind of innocent and gets the label -- "Oh those wacky japanese..."

I'm sure the puritan faction in my "good ole US" is having a bloody cow over this
