Mackynzie Renée Duggar is in for an avalanche of family attention: She's not only the first grandchild in the reality TV clan, but she already has 17 aunts and uncles, plus one more on the way, since her grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are expecting their 19th child in the spring.

Mackynzie was born at the home of her parents, Joshua and Anna, with a midwife and doula attending the birth. "Josh was excited to participate in the birth as well," says a family friend. "They are both so happy."

Another Duggar baby to exploit!!! Her delivery will be aired next week. Joshua Duggar seems very anxious to exploit his daughter in the media, but again that's the way he was raised. Another couple of months, and Baby #2 will probably be announced on the way. I think this family is way out of line, and its for publicity now. This is no difference with exploiting your children, rather you are the Duggars, Gosselins or Nadya Suleman. TLC is getting carried away exploiting this family and others!

The Duggar family is part of a fundementalist cult that follows a man by the name of Bill Gothard. They have small cells of people connected to each other across the country. They are extremists who practice cruelty and female suppression and male domination. There are survivor groups on the internet connected to this Baptist fundementalism. Bob Jones University, Bill Gothard, Partrick Henry, and other homeschoolers and schools are connected to this religion. It is relatively unknown right now in the US.

TLC should do their homework before tauting these people before the public as examples of good parenting.

I feel sorry for any kid whose parents choose to have more offspring than they can take care of themselves. Not only are they deprived of the attention they need but the older children are turned into surrogate parents while they are still children.

The Duggar children are dehumanised as they are paraded around as zoo animals for a voyeuristic public, the interest is only because they are not allowed to be normal.

There should be privacy protection laws for minors. If adults want to seek attention for themselves, that is fine but they should not be allowed to exploit their children and sacrifice their dignity in the process.

It must be nice having TLC pay your bills and raise your kids and now your grandkid. They are receiving a form of welfare. It's sad that just because this lady wants to pop a new kid out every year, they get to make tons of money and be stars of their own TV show. If TLC wasn't supporting them, they couldn't support themselves and would most likely be on welfare. As old as she is, she is taking a big risk on the children having birth defects. She needs to quit thinking about herself and start thinking about the well being of the kids she already has.

The Duggars pop 'em out and then basically expect the children to raise each other. The older kids should be able to be children, not mini-parents. These people are ridiculous. 19 kids?? If they wanted so dang many kids they should adopt.
