Gop

Politics Daily:

The grassroots anti-tax, anti-government movement sweeping through Republicans nationwide is proving a thorn in the side of the national party as the loose coalition known as "tea partiers" or "tea party protesters" draft guerrilla candidates to take on GOP-approved incumbents.

I've got to say that watching the GOP these days is like watching a dinner party at Jeff Dahmer's place.

We've known for a long time that the republican party was where the wild (eyed evil, peace-hating) things are...how come their leaders are just now figuring this out?

Now the tea party don't like republicans! Good grief, what do either stand for?

Attention! That is what they love! How often to people with weird ideas get all this attention? How often do they get their faces plastered all over the news? Generally people calling for the death of the president don't get positive press.

It's arrogance and self-delusion.

When Republicans created this monster to rage against those evil "socialist Democrats," and to revile and distrust "the government" and "Washington," they were somehow arrogant enough not to believe that one day one of there drones would wake up and realize that, "Hey, wait a minute. That means YOU guys, too!"

They've unleashed the furies. But chose to leave hope trapped in the jar.

Reaping . . . sowing . . . REMIND you of anyone?

Her corporate experience consists of driving one of the best companies in the country into the ditch. She could have been useful in the Bush administration, but those days are over.

I was just about to say the same thing. The GOP loved the nuttos when it suited their purposes, but movies have taught us monsters always turn on their masters. Can't wait to see the type of candidates they will put forth.

I was with you until you cited "movies" as your evidence ;-) Nonetheless, you're correct!! The monster that has been created is turning against its creator(s).

The GOP didn't create the tea baggers. The tea baggers are a independent, consortium of various groups, that favor less government interference in society. I've been to many anti-war protests and there too, there is a mixture of various groups with their own agenda. Its a type of coalition.
The leaders of various anti tax groups are usually independents. They don't trust the Republicans because of their past performance when they controlled the purse strings.
The Republicans want the tea baggers votes, but they don't deliver on their promises...

Fox News and Dick Armey (former Republican, right?) created the Tea baggers.

I understand what you're saying on the whole, but this particular "round" of protests (mostly against health care reform, and mostly built on ridiculous lies) was orchestrated in large part by FOX News and Freedom Works (Dick Armey).

In general, you might be correct, but in this case, this set of teabaggers are bought and paid for by Fox and Dick.

The RNC attempted to legitimize the teabaggers early on when they endorsed them and suggested everyone send a teabag to President Obama.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
TeaBaggers want no tax's, and yet like to drive on nice paved highways. Its so funny that now they know what the meaning of there name is they want to distance themselves and Politico is helping.
My brother is one and I am making him a skull cap with personal attachments, if you know what I mean, hope he likes it. : P

Most people are against the Income Tax, which does not go towards paying for road construction or maintainance. That is mainly paid for by Gas taxes and local/state taxes.

And then there is always the arugument that who's to say that without government we wouldn't have roads? Communities have come togather to do things the states have failed to provide. Like in this below example citizens in Hawaii repaired a bridge without local/state/federal money.

Citizens coming together to repair a single bridge is nice but it would be impossible to have the civilized society we enjoy without a tax system. Where would the money come from for our water and sewer systems. Who would build and maintain our schools. Who would be there to respond when we call 911. On and on I could go. The fact is we need a tax system. To think we could simply depend on the kind donations of the citizenry is naive. I am sure that is how we came to have taxes in the first place, because not enough people were voluntarily contributing to the needs of their communities.

There are two basic philosophies about government. One is more government and the other is less. The Soviet Union was about more, and that system imploded after 75 years. The Chinese system was about more control and now they have switched to a capitalist economic system. Why ? The early history of the US was about less government and for the 1st 150 years, the US rose to become an economic giant. Now that we have become socialistic, the economy is imploding. Why?

And Scandinavia has more GOvenrment involvement and has topped the standard of living lists for decades.

US don't make top ten.

You seems to have missed that fact that teh economy crachsed during Bush, not under the Obama "socialist" government right?

Think before posting
