RAMALLAH, West Bank - Fatah has agreed to an Egyptian proposal for the two main Palestinian factions to separately sign a long-delayed unity deal by October 15, a senior party official said on Tuesday.

The animosity or toxicity is normal between rivals-- even when there is agreement to sign a deal. Signing the deal is a first step to cooperation. That is how it works.

Remember, Israel helped create Hamas in an attempt to divide the Palestinians. So far, it is still working. Your Post and spin supports this tract.

Sure, the Fatah and Israeli propaganda is spinning the story of Hamas leaders on the run during the Israeli bombing. Perhaps they did or did not. We do not really know.

But when you think about it, what do leaders do when their people are attacked? They go hiding.

GW Bush was whisked off to some undisclosed location on 9/11. Churchill went hiding during the Blitz on London.
