Sixteen months ago, I gave birth to a wonderful baby boy, Trypp. After a week, Trypp began sleeping longer than usual and refused to eat. I took my son to the hospital, as he was quickly losing weight and shriveling up into a ghost of a baby.
Our doctor and specialists did everything in their power to try to get him to eat, but nothing worked. As a last resort at Grand Forks hospital, our doctor put Trypp on a feeding tube. Three days later, his stomach was distended; our doctors were at a loss, as the treatment wasn't working. It was decided they would life-flight him to Minneapolis-St. Paul for hopefully life-saving treatment.
