I thnk most people dont believe what they read in the tabloids - and dont take that kind of gossip so seriously as you do - so they would not lash out because of that.
And how do you know he is the one who did the choosing? Maybe JA went on one date with him and didn't like him so they both moved on. Maybe she didn't like the fact that there was a camera there on their first date and felt like he had set her up. She kept the relationship with Brad under wraps for almost a year, the thing with Mayer went on for months before anyone found out about it.
I know the JA haters always believe she is the on being dumped but that's because your hatred just can't stomach any other type of reality.
