Octomom Doctor Michael Kamrava Expelled From Society For Reproductive Medicine

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — The Beverly Hills doctor who gave fertility treatments to octuplets mom Nadya Suleman has been expelled from a professional organization.

Dr. Michael Kamrava was kicked out of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine last month, group spokesman Sean Tipton said Monday.

Tipton said Kamrava has repeatedly violated the group's standards. He declined to provide details but said Kamrava was not expelled because of his work with any single patient.

A message for Kamrava was not immediately returned.

Suleman has said Kamrava implanted her with six embryos – far more than national guidelines specify. Suleman gave birth to octuplets in January.

She told RadarOnline.com she believed Kamrava was a good doctor who always warned her the risks of multiple births and that she felt bad about his expulsion.

"I understand however that he wasn't kicked out just because of me and because other cases were involved so I don't feel wholly responsible," Suleman said.

The decision may be a blow to Kamrava's prestige but it won't keep him from practicing medicine. Tipton says the non-profit group has no such legal authority.

It's a good first step to expel Kamrava from the organization. Now they need to yank his license to practice medicine. A pregnancy as dangerous as Octomom's could have been fatal for both her and the babies. She was dumb enough to ask for it, but he as a physician should have known better and told her no, he would not implant so many embryos. I believe he put in far more than six embryos for her to have ended up with octuplets... I don't believe her song and dance about two of them splitting into identical twins. Now that her babies are older, you can see that none of them are identical.

Means nothing. And he won't have his medical license taken away. It takes being a serial k*//er to do that. I mean a real one. There are some truly dangerous doctors out there -- who have been reported numerous times -- and nothing is done. They keep on practicing. I could go into the horror stories I've heard, but I don't have all night.

hopefully, his punishment will be paying (hugely increased) premiums on his malpractice insurance.... which he will likely pass along to his patients.

I never cease being shocked at how cruelly the octomom is treated by almost everyone.

If she had five or six babies, and had a husband, they would have been building a house for her, as has happened previously. They would have provided immense amounts of food, clothes, diapers, help etc. ect.

But, poor octomom is derided, crucified by Gloria Allred, investigated by child care services, given basically nothing except for bad words, bad press, bad opinion, bad punditry.

And she's Christian, no less.

Then expects her parents to turn their lives around for her. She didn't even have her own home! No visible means of support! Please, don't pull that "she's Christian" crap. Could it be because she's totally bat sh*t crazy? That she has now brought 8 more babies into this world with no possible way of supporting them, IN ADDITION to the children she couldn't support already? Uh yeah, possibly.

I'd say the same thing if she was married. In fact it'd be worse because then 2 fully capable adults would be doing nothing but procreating-you choose which is more heinous.
