Grocery Store Musical: Improv Everywhere Stages Surprise Supermarket Sing-A-Long! (VIDEO)

For their latest mission, Improv Everywhere sent six undercover actors to a supermarket in Queens for a surprise song! The group belted out a carefully rehearsed tune about fruit and why it should be together and not housed in separate areas. The store patrons looked excited and engrossed for the most part, while some jaded New Yorkers continued on their way. The event was filmed with small, hidden cameras so as not to take the audience out of the show.

Back when I used to work as a barber I thought about doing stuff like that. Used to call it disco Barbershop. Could never understand why life couldn't be more like a musical. Too bad it isn't. I really did love that Antwerp number and the Supermarket bit.

I hate to be debbie downer but the lyrics are so stupid in these improv everywhere pieces that they all FAIL. These pieces come off like teen productions in a church basement in Broken Arrow OK. It would be fun to watch in person but when the performance is recorded it really doesn't translate.
