Limbaugh Makes Countdown's "Worst Persons" List: "Emotionally Rush Is A 14-Year-Old Boy" (VIDEO)

Keith Olbermann named gave Rush Limbaugh the silver medal in his "Worst Persons in the World" segment for insulting a CNN reporter, Carol Costello, who examined Limbaugh's show and monologues for a piece on talk radio. Costello consulted a psychiatrist to delve into what Limbaugh is really doing; the shrink concluded that Limbaugh is a bully. Limbaugh's reply was, "Carol you need to go sit on a fire hydrant and, you know, improve your day."

As Olbermann put it: "You do not need a psychiatrist to figure out that piece of emotional fantasy. Emotionally Rush Limbaugh is a 14-year-old boy."

Rush is a distorted combination of "Biff" from Back to the Future and "Eddie Haskell" from Leave It To Beaver. And he's hell-bent on making sure "No more angels get their wings." like that old stodgy banker in It's a Wonderful Life.

When you watch that old classic this holiday season, think of Rush Limbaugh and how he fits into that old-time American Community scene... Is he the Bandit, Baron, Villain, Hero or nuuuthin' but the ol' broken down lush?

Nobody thinks their own values and attitudes are foolish. It goes against human nature. Say you meet someone who believes that a woman’s proper place is in the home. And say, for the purposes of argument, that you firmly believe this as well. You are going to assume that this person who shares this core value is intelligent, that this attitude is a reflection of reason and mental acuity. Or say you meet someone who shares your concern for the natural environment. You will automatically conclude that this new acquaintance must be a sophisticated thinker. At the very least, you are not going to think, hey, he’s a lot like me, he must be stupid.

Given that this is true, how can we ever know if some values are more intelligent, more reasoned, or more cognitively sophisticated than others? Put another way, does native intelligence lead to a certain set of values, and stupidity to another worldview altogether?

This is quite correct, which in fact, validates the dr*g use by Rush. Ad *dic*ts never emotionally mature, unless they kick their habit permanently. It freezes their maturity level to that age at which they began using. And frankly, we all end up dealing with a dysfunctional dr*g-add*icted adolescent as a result.
