RIO DE JANEIRO Just over two weeks ago, this striking city landed the 2016 Olympic Games, the first ever in South America, setting off a sweaty, impromptu beach party that lasted most of the weekend. Rio de Janeiro has one of the world’s highest murder rates -- 4,631 homicides last year -- while New York City had only 523 murders last year. It's definitely going to be an eventful Olympics!
