Hannity

Sean Hannity made light of the war brewing between the White House and Fox News Tuesday, adding the tagline, "Not White House-Approved" to his show.

"Free-minded, patriotic Ameriacns, this program is NOT White House-approved," the announcer said introducing "Hannity."

"And welcome to 'Hannity,' home of all the news that is not White House-approved," Hannity opened the show. "The administration doesn't wanna hear what we have to say. They wanna silence us, they want us to shut up. They want us to get in line. They don't want people asking them the tough questions."

Hannity would later say, "It seems like the White House is developing an enemies list."

Then you don't hear well. I take that back - GWB just didn't allow anyone from MSNBC to talk to administration officials - it's on youtube. Dana Perino admits ,"towards the end we didn't do a lot with MSNBC." Want some wine with that whine?

Why didn't crookedhead have a "White House Approved" logo when Bush was still in office? Wouldn't that be fair and balanced? Why not change the logo every time the WH changes parties like a motel vacancy sign?

No, you lost your approval on 11/04/08.

What Hannity is doing with his "Not White House approved" tagline is a standard propganda tactic. The propgandist, and Sean Hannity is certainly a propagandist if nothing else, MUST find someone to demonize. The propagandist must convince his/her viewers that they will only get the REAL story from him/her. Why? Because propagnadists tell lies, so you must pre-empt anyone who may come forward with a different version of the story--usually closer to the truth. This keeps the propagandist's audience believing the story for much longer than if the audience is willing to entertain differing viewpoints. And: Hannity gets paid well to be a mouthpiece for groups like Big Insurance, Big Pharma and the Wall St banks. To name just some of Hannity's corporate 'clients'.

Pres. Obama is going to slash Wall St. bonusses 90%. That seems like a good deal to me. The President's health care reforms aren't winning him friends in the health care industry either.Another good deal. Pres. Obama tried to work with the health care industry. The health care lobby balked, so Mr. Obama will press on with much needed reforms. You must quit watching Fox "News".

Agreed!

Who does Sean Hannity think he is, why would the President want to talk to him? If someone talked nasty about me everyday of the year, I would not talk to them either.
09:03 AM on 10/22/2009
I really would like to see him fired! He is cruel and hateful and then has the nerve to say he is a devout Catholic! WOW!
09:02 AM on 10/22/2009
Hannity looks like he was picked on in school.
08:21 AM on 10/22/2009
I think it's a good idea Hannity is into the disclaimer game now. Like cigarettes. But instead of the current model I would suggest something more like "Not recommended for sane adults or those burdened with having to tell the truth".
