Ann Coulter: All Presidential Assassins Were Part Of The Left (VIDEO)

Ann Coulter, perhaps afraid that Glenn Beck is upstaging her, as evidenced by his recent remarks that progressives in earlier times were called slave owners, decided to test the limits of absurdity by declaring that all presidential assassination attempts were committed by someone on the left:

As I have not only witnessed in my own life but described in "Guilty", every presidential assassination or attempted presidential assassination was committed by some kind of left-wing loon, communist, anarchist, communitarian, or they had no politics at all.

An outraged Behar interjects that this makes no sense, but Coulter goes full steam ahead, and it's a train wreck.

Abolishing slavery has to go in the progressive column. Trying to cling to the past and fight progress, claiming states rights, is what caused the Civil Way. Now it's causing a health care reform war.

I hate to say this (especially about a woman who is tragically wrong on so many issues) but in this instance Coulter did make some valid points. Setting aside that she will always blame liberals for all the problems of the world, I was a bit surprised to find a hint of credibility to what she says. Indeed, there is racism even among liberals. Take hipsters and gentrification for instance. Yes they will vote for progressives because they reflect their beliefs. But at the same time, they often move into ethnic neighborhoods with little to no regard for the residents (usually but not always black and Latinos) nor do they bother to pick up a second language to bridge the gap. Hipsters are mostly white and don't bother to hang out with or at least get to know people of different races and classes. Lower East Side, Williamsburg, Bushwick, all gone because like Marie Antoinette pretending to be a peasant in her garden cottage at Versailles, hipsters tried to be the struggling artists they often were not. Adding injury to insult, many have an insensitive taste for dressing homeless or poor while paying lots of money for it.

But it still goes without saying. All of this pales in comparison to the misery Ronald Reagan's GOP and their policies have done to further the damage done to the advancement of minorities and the poor. After all, they are the ultimate brains of the economic engine that fuels gentrification.

In the 19th century, the Republican Party was the liberal party and the Democratic Party was the conservative party. That changed at the end of the century. She knows this very well. But she also knows that the far right is ignorant and doesn't have a clue. That's why the FOX brigade can just make up history as they go along: they're confident that their audience is uneducated.

Ann Coulter. God, even typing the name makes me nauseous.

During the 1960's the terms liberal and conservative switched parties from Democrat to Republican. Abraham was a Republican....... a liberal of his day. He was shot and killed by John Wilkes Booth a Democrat and arch conservative of his day. If Joy doesn't know that they need to pull her show.
