Watch this eight foot-tall robot -- which looks like the type of creature that could destroy the world in a blockbuster sci-fi flick -- perform "What a Wonderful World," "My Way," "Wonderwall," and more.

hope the guy inside is getting fairly compensated; it must be really uncomfortable inside that plastic shell.

It happen before and it would happen again...

A good geek stunt would be to have the lights turn red and the robot stand a little straighter and say over and over again! "By your command!..." That would literally freak out a geek audience!

Dear Panasonic,
I have this really sexy microwave I've trying to impress. I was wondering if you might allow me to borrow the android for a big Halloween party this weekend? I'm sure that if I showed up wearing this costume, she would be running on HIGH by the end of the evening!
Thank you in advance!

Considering how top heavy that costume is with the animation mechanics for the head, it must really suck for the guy inside.

Godz, I almost felt sorry for the thing. Everybody standing around gawking at it.

Note to Panasonic:

Robots should not have angry, metal skulls for a head.

Robots should not have giant, menacing claws for hands.

Robots should also not be eight feet tall while simultaneously having an angry, metal skull for a head and giant metal claws for hands.

Also, being able to quickly walk towards me is not a feature. It's a bug.

Just so folks know, btw, this is a android suit. It's not actually a real robot. I though it would be funnier if I wrote the previous post as if it were actually a robot. Also, I'm surprised that Panasonic was behind this. I thought it was some performance company from England.

That bot looks a heck of a lot like that combat robot from Judge Dredd.

Wow. My whole being was fighting between intellectual amazement and primal fear. Yikes! I'm a huge sci-fi fan and have been since childhood, but this "guy" is scary! They need to make it look less threatening, IMHO. (small mammal runs from T-rex).......... Also, singing Louis Armstrong was amazing. What a world!
