One part of No Impact Week last week was to focus on eating local, sustainable and/or organic food in order to be conscious of the eco-footprint of what we eat. But don't be fooled into thinking this was some heady exercise -- we asked readers to send in pictures of their best local food dishes and we got many inspiring examples.

We've featured a sampling of some mouthwatering preparations that were made by HuffPost readers. Check out these delicious treats and tell us which one one you want to eat!

Local Egg "Sandwich"

sixburnersue:
Crusty local bread from Orange Peel Bakery here on Martha's Vineyard topped with fresh eggs and bacon from Morning Glory Farm, cheddar cheese from Smith Farm, and fresh herbs from the garden. Topped with a drizzle of local Katama honey.

There are few better evenings then the community pizza night at the Orange Peel. This is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. I am not surprised it's at the top of the list...

Local or not, bacon is not environmentally friendly (we're in the green section after all), and use all the euphemisms you want, but it's not animal friendly or "humane" either

You fail to include the price.

Can all writers everywhere just stop using "Mouthwatering" as a descriptive in regards to food?
It's nauseating to continually read about food causing one's mouth to secrete saliva.
Why not continue all the way down the gastric chain and describe food as Feceproducing?

Mouths do not "water". It's drool. Spit.

No wonder 66% of Americans are obese. Those foods are fatty and nausea-inducing.

Al Gore financially gains from Cap and Trade!!

He founded and is Chairman of Generation Investment Management (GIM)which has considerable influence over the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) in the United States and the Carbon Neutral Company (CNC) in Europe. On his board and in key positions in GIM are former Goldman Sachs CEO and Federal Reserve Chairman Hank Paulson and many other former Goldman Sachs executives.

It also turns out that The World Bank is beginning to become involved in the scheme.

Vegan or not, try some spices on your food. As old as food itself. I buy from an online Juliet Mae Spices, really, spice is the spice of life.
