Boehner

CQ Politics :

House Republicans are devising a political platform -- informally dubbed "Ten for '10"-- to better position their party for the 2010 midterm elections -- a moniker oddly reminiscent of the game plan Speaker Nancy Pelosi used to mount the Democratic takeover in 2006.

Several senior Republicans said the party would draft a policy agenda that stylistically -- certainly not ideologically -- mirrors the half-dozen policy objectives that Pelosi, D-Calif., unveiled as the "Six for '06" platform before that year's midterms.

Ah.... the collective ingenuity of the GOP. They wouldn't recognize an original idea if it was standing in front of them.

But I remember that when the Dems came up with the 6 for 06 ---- at the time it was being hailed as copying from the (R) playbook that yielded the Contract On America.

It was Contract WITH America, not Contract ON America. Contract On America sounds like a mob hit. Although, with Rethugs, I guess anything's possible.

As usual, no ideas of their own.
Maybe it's too much tanning bed?
Maybe it's the fact that when you are totally obsessed with obstructing and trying to bring down others, you just cannot be creative, you just cannot think.

You can steal the plays from the best football team too, but if you don't have the personnel to execute them ...

Stealing the name for the older Democratic strategy, well all I can think is that imitation is flattery. With less than 1 in 5 self identifying themselves as a Republican, I'd say these Republicans have some high hopes, rather like a flea climbing an elephant's leg with the idea of sex in mind.

The GOP, is out of Ideas, and showing their lack of plain old common sense.......does the phase "Lame Brain", mean anything to you?

Yeah- I'm not particularly impressed with the GOP right now. Nor am I impressed with the Dem-controlled congress. Plenty of lameness to go around.

Watch the documentary film, "Outrage", that is showing on HBO this month. The film profiles prominent, elected, Republican officials who publicly denounce homosexuality and gay rights while they, themselves, are closeted and and practicing homosexuals. It's the zenith of Republican hypocrisy and reaction formation.

The Republican Party, Not only the Party of "Just Say NO".... also the Party of "NO IDEAS". We're moving closer to a one party system. One party is committing "POLITICAL SUIC IDE" , (Republican Party)

Fox used to get their "news" directly from the White House and the GOP.

Now the GOP gets their talking points directly from Uncle Ruppie.....interesting....
