They did a nice job for sure. With friends like Simon, his advice for sure will take anyone far. With me they would have to use Play-Do to fill in my grooves. Those fillers only lst 6-9 months? Yeah I hope he is planning on coming back for seconds. No thanks, I like my face the way it is, a little rugged with a whole lot of character. It shows I have lived fully and did not pamper myself to please others.
Looks like he had him some Foie gras implants
Any one who thinks you cannot continue to learn from watching another chef, is lazy. Gordon is one of those chefs whose skills are amazing. I am someone who has been a caterer, personal chef, pastry chef, who had her own food line, and yes, I still feel I can learn from this man. Those who call him verbally abusive, have never worked in a kitchen, or resteraunt, known the kinds of stress and demands chefs are under on a nightly basis. You have to be on top of your game at all times, you cannot fake it, and if you don't want to be there, please, don't drag the other chefs down that do want to be there. He has every right to push his staff, and he does it not to be abusive, but to get them to be thier best. He sees potential in all of them, and hates to see it wasted. I have thrown my hat in the ring and will hopefully get to be one of his contestants. unlike those who want show biz, I want to learn from this guy, show him what a 49 something chef can still do, learn. Unlike those with egos, I am leaving mine at the door. If you are a pro, you have to.
If you can leave your ego at the door, then you won't be abusive to other people because it is not about being abusive, it is about getting the best product to the customer you can.
Gordon is all about ego, and thus, regardless of skill, he will never, ever be about the things he talks about and preaches...he will always be about Gordon.
I wish you luck in your quest. Being as good a chef as Gordon may be hard. Being a better human being...that should be no problem.
Gordon never impressed me as being a sell out. He had nothing to hide or be ashamed of. Part of his charm was his good looks that were real, not fake. At least he isn't selling out with his cooking skills. That is a man who is beyond amazing in the kitchen, has every right to demand quality and perfection from his staff, as its his reputation on the line, his money. I hope he reconsiders before its too late. he does not need any retouching, botox or any of that fakey hollywood nonsense. great chefs work, thier skills speak for them, and that is enough for me.
Gordon Ramsay's father probably worked hard to give him those frown lines on his chin. I'd have kept them if it were me.
I am hearby coining the phrase, "bro-tox."
and that is a good one!
Well the kitchen is very stressfull. Read his bio where talks about training in a french kitchen where plates were thrown at people or about his mentor Marco White who took a pair of shears and cut the clothes off a cook who complained about the heat in the kitchen.
I remember this guy from a tv morning show 20 years or so ago.. Think he is a producer of Paula Deen's cooking show.. I am over 65, have friends a year or so older and look way better without the work.. Drink in moderation, no smoking, eat well and stay out of the noonday sun.. WOW... FILLERS! WOW!... I had some cancers removed from my face, neck and shoulders.. the doctor (a Plastic Surgeon) never suggested fillers or any other goodies.. WOW! that looks like a lot of FILLER! Wonder what they used; some of the stuff leaves a permanent ropey thingy, I was told by a nurse friend and they other stuff goes away after about a year.. again... WOW
You really have no idea who Gordon Ramsay is do you? He is one of the world's highest rated chefs. He has dozens of restaurants around the world.
He was never a producer of a cooking show. Gordon Ramsay wasn't in the US twenty years ago.
That would be Gordon ELLIOTT...not Gordon Ramsey. It's really funny to see people who have access to the internet get stuff soooooo wrong. Look up Paula Deen and you'll see....
Now if we could only fix his ugly personality.
Ugly? Obviously you haven't seen the F-word program. The man is a perfectionist in the kitchen. He is actually known to be very well liked by his employees and the people who have met him outside the kitchen thinks he is a great chap to be around.
The lighting is so different in these pictures that it's impossible to tell if there's any change in his face at all.
