During the campaign, a couple of college kids put up a wonderful website: yeswecanholdbabies. I got weepy every time I looked at the pictures of Barack Obama with babies and laughed every time at the pictures of Bush and McCain trying to look comfortable with them. You can't fool babies: they can feel it when somebody likes them. President Obama is a hands-on Dad, and it shows.

I saw a couple of collections of Obama with babies on YouTube and they made me cry (I am not weepy usually). I saw something especially poignant in the ones with boys (a little older, not babies) and couldn't help thinking what an important event it would be for these boys to refer to as they grow up.

CAN I VOTE FOR ALL OF THE PHOTOS???? THEY ARE ALL so cute!!!! President Obama is just the bestest ever, and all the babies of the world love him and so do all the puppies and kitties. Does anybody know where all the polls are so I can keep voting for how cute and loving he is, and how gushy he makes me feel inside??? ooooo I can't wait for more polls!!!!!!

One of the best, for me, was a stops, east of Cincinnati, Candidate Obama said to a a 12/13 year old kid (awkward age!!), "ear power", because the young fellow was carrying a set just like our President.

These are all adorable. The President has a great fondness for kids that comes through in the photos. Admittedly biased, I cast my vote for my angel baby daughter, Isabella.

Your daughter is beautiful and I love the way the president looks so tender with her. Like he knows just what each child needs. Some he is lifting in the air, some he is holding sweetly like your little Isabella. Very sweet.
