haha claw back some of your MILLIONS from Rush Limbaugh and then send him packing - then and only then can you return to profitability
Allowing Clear Channel to control such a large portion of the radio airwaves is like mandating that every entree at every restaurant be made with hamburger.
CommonSenseMom and MajorKong both have it right. Point your fingers squarely at a weak and deluded FCC and subsequent unbridled greed for the cause of the mess we now have in radio. Blow up the FCC and allow all stations to fairly compete, and the public airwaves might have a chance.
Gee, maybe letting one company own darn near every radio station in the country wasn't such a great idea.
No, a share price plunging from over 45 dollars a share to a buck and a quarter and a bunch of nervous bankers taking over the property! C.C is carrying a MASSIVE debt load!

Just thought you'd like to see what it is like to listen to Clear Channel. They play the same 5 songs over and over again and are constantly on commercial. They are the reason I bought XM.
We now resume our regular progam....

CommonSenseMom, are you an ex broadcaster, cause your post is exactly how all of us ex broadcasters feel about CC. Good News, maybe, CC is the company that is paying el rushbo 400 million dollars, and those bankers that are taking over are going to cut cut cut, a lot of local staff is going to be hurt very badly, but if it clears (pardon the pun) the airways of rush? $1.25 a share, won't even buy you a cup of coffee anymore.
Alternative to XM radio is using your iPOD to pull in "internet stations" there are hundreds of programs and formats. Many applications are available on the iTunes store for free.
down load and application tune into a station and whaalaa! you've got a range of internet radio station options for free.
good bye satellite radio - a completely useless service unless you're specifically interested in someone like Howard Stern or some exclusive satellite program.
right wing radio fails
The stock has lost over $45.00 in value? Now selling for a buck and a quarter, let's hope mom and pop radio station will make a come back!
