(VOTING IS NOW CLOSED)

HuffPost's Game Changers celebrates 100 innovators, visionaries, and leaders in 10 categories who are harnessing the power of new media to reshape their fields and change the world. With your help, we've picked 10 people who are changing the game in Media. We honor and salute them.

Now it's up to you to pick the Ultimate Media Game Changer. Click through the slideshow below, get the lowdown on why we chose them, then VOTE. We'll reveal the Ultimate 10 in November.

KATIE COURIC

Current Status: Using TV as a stepping stone to web superstardom

Changing The Game By: Using the Web to build a whole new audience. Going online to host webcasts immediately after her on-air campaign coverage, to post behind the scenes videos of her interviews and travels on YouTube, to reach out to the Digg community with a tailor-made video appeal, and, most recently, to launch an Internet interview show, @katiecouric, has allowed Couric to show off her greatest strength -- her personality -- while in no way diminishing her serious news chops. It’s made Couric one of the Web’s strongest news brands, with an audience decades younger than the one she’s competing for in the increasingly irrelevant network news ratings war.

Question Of The Year: “What newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this to stay informed and to understand the world?"

It is mind boggling that Katie Couric is considered a game changer before Jon Stewart, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olberman, Colbert etc. This is when being a liberal makes me want to throw up. This phony attempt to always make some boring or run of the mill thing a woman does as really "incredible" is what gives the conservatives grist for the mill.

Katie Couiric couldn't change a light bulb, never mind being a media game changer. This is just HP's attempt to have pity on her.

I would also nominate Paramahansa Yogananda as the ultimate game changer in my life. There are two organizations that publish his work. The official one that Yogananda himself founded is Self-Realization Fellowship. The other publisher is Crystal Clarity. Swami Kriyananda founded Ananda and Crystal Clarity. I suggest the reader search the words "who is Kriyananda" and decide for themselves which publisher they would like to purchase from.

We all know what media outlet has "changed the game" in news. It is the one so many of the Huff Post bloggers rail against. That is a given.

Best newspaper: WSJ

The Christian Science Monitor "softball team" quote praising the voiceofsandiego.org (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/29/huffpost-game-changers-wh_n_337129.html?slidenumber=hLp6VFqxtd4%3D) was written by someone who also works for voiceofsandiego.org. That type of journalism may be a game-changer, but not in a good way. Softball indeed.

AH runs a media outlet that escercises censorship and a huge Left wing bias. I vote for Cecily Tynan as a true game chager in the media.

I'm wondering where Glenn Beck is in this list; he's clearly changing the game. A conservative who cries and gets czars kicked out?

How does that change the game? That IS the game.

As each new list comes out, this exercise gets more and more vacuous. Katie Couric a "game changer?" How can anybody in network news, let alone Katie Couric, be a game changer? Where is Leo LaPorte who as single-handedly created the largest one-man web-based broadcasting system on Earth? Where are the people at Revision Three? And the biggest question: Is this the Huffington Post or Entertainment Weekly? The HP should scrap this exercise and focus on their new thrill--blowing up photos of stoned celebs.

She sure changed Sarah Palin's game!

And you should have nominated those other game changers when this series was announced, if you think winning "this exercise" is important enough to complain about.
