Natalie Portman & Padma Talk "Little Pricks" On Top Chef (VIDEO)

First Posted: 3/18/10 Updated: 5/25/11

Natalie Portman guest judged on this week's "Top Chef." The challenge was for the chefs to cook vegetarian food, as Portman does not eat meat.

When one contestant's food came out with a garlic puff, Padma likened it to a "little prick" on her tongue. With laughter and back and forth, judge Tom Colicchio summed it up as "from a little prick to big in your mouth."

The whole exchange, with Portman weighing in, starts 3:50 into the clip below.

Yay! Natalie Portman is cool! (if they're going to put movie stars on the show then next they should get Ed Norton. He, too, is cool).

Poorly written blurb. Padma is the host and one of the judges of the show. Portman was a guest on the show this week.

Natalie was overly critical of those Chefs. I didn't like that.

I don't think she was. They all had something wrong with their dishes. The vegetarian challenges are never easy for these chefs. If you're not a vegetarian, try to put together an upscale vegetarian meal on the spot after you've been planning to do steak and lobsters lol. Not an easy task.

falafel with a side of tabuli, and humus. Not only is that vegan but takes under 30min to make.

I dont care for this show, I more than likely will never watch a complete episode, but i've had a crush on natalie portman since i was 10 years old, and I just had to see what she had to say. She is just too cute.

Well I'm not a foodie that's for sure. Why does food have to be so contrived and complicated all aestehtic and no sustenance? None of those were a "meal".
