Taitz

Another challenge from birther queen Orly Taitz against President Obama's birth certificate has been thrown out of court.

U.S. District Judge David O. Carter's decision came down this morning. dismissed Orly Taitz's challenge that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen and so is not the country's legitimate president.

Judge Carter wrote in his decision that the plantiffs were asking the Court "to effectively overthrow a sitting president who was popularly elected by We the People‚ sixty-nine million of the people."

Carter said before the ruling came down that his office was getting 40 to 100 calls from birthers urging him to back Taitz, after she asked for support on her website.

Dave Weigel points out that the decision also confirms that witnesses complained Taitz wanted them to lie on the stand.

Earlier this month, Taitz was slapped with a $20,000 sanction by a judge in Georgia for "wasting the judicial resources" of the Middle District of Georgia with her "frivolous and sanctionable conduct."

I'm wondering. Does Obama have to pay out of his own pocket to defend himself against lawsuits?

He wouldn't be having these lawsuits brought against him if he wasn't President, so probably not in this case.

Depends whether he's being sued as a private individual or as the president. In this case, probably not.

I think the courts need to slap her with more fines for wasting tax payers money and the courts time. Slap her with a the amount needed for the court fees, that will put everyone with frivolous lawsuits to think twice before suing.

ROTFLMAO! This is the case that the wing nuts thought they were going to win! They thought that Obama was going to sit in Orly's office and be forced to give a deposition.

LOL!

This report is very long and thoughtfully done. According to Orly and gang if it isn't this then it is that. It all adds up to Obama being the illegal President and therefore Biden et al. too should be given the heave ho.. She is a great writer of fiction. She could be making millions instead of costing the government millions and I thought she was a fiscal conservative!

Orly Taitz is like so many Americans who live and dies in the cities. They forget the many many millions of people were born at home and have only family members as witnesses. There is not long form given out on a lot of states for home births because there is no Doctor or Hospital Info to put on the long form.

If you took citizenship away from all those not born in Hospitals then about 50 % of thise in the USA would be Illegals. Espically in the South in the Black Communities and Poor White Communities where Hospital Bills meant bankruptize for most.

The woman nees to learn more about American History or she just needs to shut up.

The thing is that President Obama was born in a major U.S. city, and has an authentic birth certificate from the state that certifies that he was born in Honolulu, HI, which (even though about 15% of Republicans are not sure of it) is a part of the United States. He was born in a hospital, and in addition to his birth certificate, there are birth announcements in two newspapers.

Couldn't the judge just throw her out (of the country) as well?

She should get the message by now that a "law" degree from an on-line, non-accredited (except in Ca.), not recognized by the American Bar Association school was not going to get her very far in the real world.

Her supporters must really be in dire straits and so gullible that they will believe and follow any crazy notion, person or idea that is thrown at them. Anything that plays to their fears and gives them a sense that what ever movement or half-brained idea they believe in is legitimate.

I hope the judges make her pay all the money for wasting the court's time with all her frivolous filings that have been thrown out over and over again.

YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!

The WMC (white male conservative) Republican Party is quickly becoming an allegory of what Dick Cheney said of the insurgents in Iraq, that “. I think they're in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency.”
The future and life of a political party is its ability to recruit new member. When something cuts off that supply of recruits, then that party will decline. In addition, over a given period, they will cease to be a national party, and fall to permanent minority party status. Until it is able to attract new members, it will stay in the wilderness.
It is great to know that every day, the outlandish claims of the Conservatives drives away potential members to the Republican Party.
Seriously, what kind of 15 to 24 year old would want do have any connection to the present Conservative ideals and morals?

She said her children were excited that THE PRESIDENT (she actually referred to him as the president) had to appear in her office. I wonder what her next move will be. I only hope it is that she moves out of this country.
