This absurdity has got to stop. Pakistan has a 600,000+ military machine, plenty of native supply capacity, fighting in their own country against forces which pose much more threat to itself than to us. That's bare-bones Associated-Press-style fact. That we should indulge them in this Central Asian bakshish has been a humiliating stupidity since Musharaf first signed the treaty creating the Islamic Emirate of Waziristan in 2006 while Bush was still in office. And all the while we ignore the strategic designs of China, which has been Pakistan's main ally since just after the founding of the People's Republic and continues to be. Idiots.

China? CHINA?

Actually I am impressed that you managed to work China into your post.

But in case you missed it: China has as much to fear from Islamic fundamentalism as anyone else.

Lol - actually no one has more to fear than Pakistan from Islamic fundamentalists. China probably has the least to fear. Ask the residents of Xinjiang if you think they have a chance of destablizing the CCP's grip on China, or even in securing their own independence.

Instead, consider how one police state, China, run by its own KGB, may interact with a KGB which has a country (Pakistan). I'm afraid neither Michael Moore nor Senator Levin will bring this up but even you can read Wikipedia, muchacho. Open your mind.

It is clearly a part of the Obama Administrations strategy. A central part.

Not sure why it is so difficult for so many people to see?

Just because they are not leaking everything that looks the least bit favorable, like the Bushies did.

Despite any security issues.
