Droid Vs Iphone
The Droid and iPhone competition is heating up according to reviews.

Droid vs iPhone reviews say that the battle is on between the two products.

The smartphones are similar, though a closer look reveals each has its advantages. The iPhone 3GS has more than 93,000 apps compared to the 10,000 currently available for the Motorola Droid. But the Droid trumps the iPhone on megapixels with 5.0 to 3.0.

Spencer Ante of Business Week says that despite all the media buzz, the Droid could be negatively affected by Verizon's bold strategy:

With the Droid and another phone from HTC, Verizon is placing a big bet on the unproven Android. The software is popular with techies and has attracted enough support from developers that 10,000 apps are available for download to Android phones, but it hasn't yet caught on with consumers. In addition, Verizon risks confusing customers with the sheer number of devices it's introducing. "Greater choice is not a guarantee of a greater quarter," says Richard Doherty, research director at Envisioneering Group.

Technologizer finds that the Droid has "better specs" and calls the Android operating system by Google "promising," though it also notes the many similarities between the products.

So after the "not so phenomenal" unveiling of Motorola Droid to USA yesterday http://bit.ly/did-droid-conquered-USA-today

Like us, other buyers are asking too, if did it really conquered america or not (like verizon promises to their "mocking" advertisement)

Now it seems, iPhone realize that they should try AT&T for a change? Dang.. shouldn't they see what will happen to droid first? before making hasty testosterone induced decisions...

So its judgment day today for Droid, was it? According to Cnet it was a little bit slow nonetheless a good start of droid, other "critiques" says otherwise. But I say, "Hell yeah! droid conquered US for a couple of hours today". We just hope that their ROI is profitable compare to the hunderds of thousand worth of ads they spend during the promotion period and err.. did I say, their impending "lawsuit" with AT&T too?

Collation of info about droid release today: http://bit.ly/did-droid-conquered-USA-today

Hope Droid will serve as a hand of midas to Verizon Corp. Soweet

All the reviews I'm reading seem to not take into account that Droid is open-source, so any problem they complain about that's not hardware-dependent can be hacked and fixed with a simple upgrade you can download.....unlike the iPhone, which doesn't even trust you to change the battery. Oh, and Droid apps are free....big difference.

After selling phones for a few years I lost all respect for Motorola, and it will take more than one nice phone to make me ever consider buying one from them.

But, it's nice to know that the former one trick pony is trying.

The Android OS hasn't caught on yet because there hasn't been a phone that made use of it that has been worth people's time.

DROID is a game-changer.
