OK, that's the creepiest thing I've read in awhile. That's saying something on this site.
Whoa! The pictures are not a sign of vanity but of a very insecure person. They're props to prop up his idealized self image through outer things and wouldn't be needed if he had a strong sense of self. It's like the woman who is so dependent on the mirror to tell her she has value. It reminds me of the real gaps in Alex that have been forgotten in the brightness of his performance this year. I hate to hear it. He has a long way to go.

This is like a decades old news story. I remember seeing that picture several times in magazines that interviewed him. Wish I could remember the one now, but was something like a Newsweek or Life type thing where they were getting to know the A-Rod at home, showing pictures of his home, his life away from the game of baseball, etc. Might have been Vanity Fair for all I know. But I remember seeing a photo of his bedroom years ago with that painting in it and rolling my eyes think "oh boy, he really fancies himself a stallion huh?"
