How could Crapcast get around this? It seems like a conflict of interest to me. The cable giant has to pay the networks part of their revenue. How can the other networks make sure that NBC isn't getting a sweeter deal?

Weren't movie studios broken up back in the 30s when they controlled not only the films but the theaters they were being shown in? Help me out here....

Why oh why does this corporate consolidation continue un-moderated.....it makes no sense at all.

I guess I can expect the reception on ABC and CBS to be reduced dramatically..."why is NBC the only channel that isn't pure static?"

This is a huge disservice to democracy. Very shortly all our media will have a single point of view. If you look at third world countries you'll understand what happens when a single big corporation controls most of the media. The results are the opposite of what this country is all about.

Did you read the article? I hate Comcast, but another bidder is NewsCorp. Aaarrrgh! Don't know which evil to root for.

I did read the article. And I still think it should not be legal for a company to own so much of the market.

What happened to the laws that used to prevent monopolies and certain purchases of media? Or did I just imagine they existed?

They all vanished on the previews administration. It is about time for them to come back.

This is a very bad idea. Isn't there an anti-trust issue? And if there isn't, there ought to be.

Everyone must understand that Comcast is an extremely conservatarded company and that MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz shows are now in peril.

If fact, given right-wing vindictiveness and their need to silence any opposition, it wouldn't surprise me if this "business" decision was at the very least "partly" fueled by the desire to hush-up the folks that poppy bush refers to as "sick puppies".

as if fox news is real news? the smarter move would be for fox to get rid of the "fair and balanced" slogan that they parade around and everyone knows is BS.

You have The Weather Channel airing movies like 'Cast Away' (Tom Hanks) and crappy programs like Al Roker having his own show. I'll take my chances w/ Comcast.
