Sounds like a very interestin feature. I am a staunch Democrat; however, I hope this alternative will be debated.

First of all, the deadline is past. If they had an alternative, it should have been introduced at least 4 months ago.

Second, "limits on medical malpractice lawsuits" as one of only a few areas that are to be addressed is very telling. It's not a health care bill; it's a tort reform bill.

Third, this particular "innovative" solution to expand coverage, i.e. states that have created special "high-risk pools" to provide insurance to individuals with pre-existing conditions, cost me $10,000 a year and was cancelled at will after Blue Cross took raked in $25,000 of my money without ever paying one cent of coverage toward anything.

Here's innovative: Ask every member of Congress to give up his/her own public health care paid for by the taxpapyers. This will "even the playing field," get the government out of the health care business, and save taxpayers millions of dollars.

Four months ago? How about when they controlled both House and Senate for years. Instead of worrying about health care they spent our tax dollars on wars.

I am going to take a line from Lieberman. Nothing is better than the GnOPer plan.

No doubt the plan will consist of one blank page, reflective of the amount of time spent these past days, months, and years of considerable thought.

The Republican bill will extend health insurance to millions...and it will cover auto insurance and flood insurance too. It will also give a puppy to every household and will bake cookies on Sundays for every citizen of this country. It will be so cost effective that everyone will actually get a reimbursement check from the Government personally signed by House Republican Leader John Boehner....WOW! I can't wait!

I would be for tort reform, IFF we made the minimum payout equal to the amount that the highest paid insurance CEO made in total compensation the year before.

Rather than saying $1 trillion over 10 years for the Democratic program, why don't they say $1 quadrillion over 10,000 years?

Great lies.
Republicans will deliver on health care reform.
The check is in the mail.
It's non-fattening.
I promise I won't come in your mouth.
Don't worry, it's only a cold sore.
I'm a Republican and I believe that government shouldn't do anything for anyone, and as a result I can run government better than Democrats that believe government should do something.

How;s this for tort reform? We make the minimum payout equal to the amount that the highest paid health insurance CEO made the year before.

He was waiting for Sarah to write it, it's why it never got finished.

A ghost writer completed it October 31.
