Palin, Cheney, Rice & Bush: You Might Buy Their Books, But Which Will You Read? (POLL)

Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney have hotly anticipated new memoirs coming out soon, but even if you buy them, will you actually read them? A new poll from Vanity Fair/60 Minutes claims that Condoleezza Rice's new memoir (expected in Fall 2011) is actually more anticipated than the Palin, Bush or Cheney books, but the question they asked participants who were planning on buying the books, was whether they planned on reading the books as well.

The title of Palins book - GOING ROGUE - is so appropriate. Look "rogue" up in the dictionary or wikipedia, it means cheat, uncontrollable and much much more. All of it unflattering and sooooo true.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from the vantage point of being in Australia (sooo far away from anywhere) it appears to me that the world is seeing and hearing more of Cheney than we ever did while he was VP. In those years he appeared a bit like the creature from the black lagoon, occasionally surfacing, but generally operating in the dark and with just those spooky sound effects. Was it the same up close in America?

I doubt anybody will buy any of these books in order to *read* them. Aren't they all coffee table books? Books you leave lying around so people will know where your political sympathies lie? And Lie is definitively the operative word.
