Energy Bill

Washington Post:

The climate-change bill that has been moving slowly through the Senate will face a stark political reality when it emerges for committee debate on Tuesday: With Democrats deeply divided on the issue, unless some Republican lawmakers risk the backlash for signing on to the legislation, there is almost no hope for passage.

here rp try this:

how hot does the surface of the earth have to be in the first place..

to supply CO2 with enough infrared radiation in the second place..

to cause this so-called greenhouse effect in the third place?

a report in treehugger claims 250,000 kids die every year due to global warming. the gop is killing kids as they drag their feet at the climate change bill. also meat eaters are killing more kids than vegitarians are because of the environmental stress caused by livestock.

They tried rushing this through before people started noticing that things were actually getting cooler and none of the predictions were coming true.

But, then, through all this, we had fossil fuel industry puppets who danced to their masters' propaganda tune and repeated everything they told them to say.

How can it be that Obama isn't getting anything done, yet there are complaints that every legislation is "rushed?"

Common Sense is killing the legislation - We are tired of pseudo scientist and politicians stealing money.

If this repeats - my bad.

What makes it pseudo-science? Since you are such an advocate of REAL science, you should already have a well-researched and confirmed falsification of the central hypotheses of AGW.

IF ANYONE SELLS AND MANAGES CARBON CREDITS IT BETTER BE THE GOVERNMENT (NOT G0LDMAN)!

G0LDMAN=America’s premier Inside Traders=Paulson+Kashgari the tip of the iceberg in gov.

In Upturns and Downturns they PROFIT! Even More with Massive Leveraged Shorting!

Tiabbi's prediction for NEXT bubble is CAP and TRADE or carbon credit trading. He details how GS has promoted this legislation and how they will profit from this market!

Who will deliver these 'mandated profits' to Goldman Sachs? That's our job as the energy consumers!

The picture that needs changing is the global one rather than made-up observations from cherry-picked locations. No summer east of the Mississippi, lol!

"Is the climate bill dead?" No doubt. The Dems have yet to accomplish one significant thing. Well okay, they have stayed mostly out of the way while the repubs attempt self-destruction so that's worth something I suppose. But in terms of leadership, or in terms of actually having a coherent party with characteristics like strategy and vision and discipline and the chutzpah to actually feel passionate about their agenda and work their behinds off to actually get it implemented... no, nada, not even close

I am really getting tired of this crap!! The democrats are the party of the people. They are supposed to be in office to protect the common good. For 40 years, the repugs have been denying climate change, allowed the auto industry to self destruct for short term gain, instead of challenging them to make the cars of the future that included environmentally safe. The congress failed to stop the coal and oil industries from polluting our rivers and oceans. They may not be around in 50 years, but I know some kids who will be, and I want them to have a future with clean air, food and water. Now is the time for the congress to do what is right for all the people. And industry will find a way to make a profit in the midst of all the changes. The drive to make a buck is strong, and if there is an obstacle in the path, business will find away to overcome. But if there are no challenges, industry will take the cheapest path to puff the bottom line. The future of mankind is at stake. God has blessed this administration with the WH, senate and house that really is DEMOCRATIC and it is time for the dems to use that power to make this country better and protects God's creations.

"A very interesting survey of earth scientists by the University of Illinois recently found that 97 percent of those who publish original research in climate science agree that humans have caused significant global warming."

"A very interesting survey of earth scientists by the University of Illinois recently found that 97 percent of those who publish original research in climate science ... 'work' in the academic welfare tax dole industry."

The moment you disincentivize 'original research' from continued carbon welfare tax dole monies for more 'original research', supporting the same false premise underlying the new Gorephobian Church, you'll see the same earth scientists fleeing 'climate change' like former Scient0logists.

We've already had the Dot.con that destroyed America's life savings, and we're going through the Credit.con that is destroying America's remaining equity, and if we usher in a new Carbon.con, and Rothschi|d's Global Bank Carbon Tax which will destroy the rest of America, and lead to a massive population die-off in the US, that is 'necessary and sufficient' proof, as welfare tax dole scientists would say, that humans of the American species have sado-masochistic death genes.

Only people who know nothing about science and research can possibly have your view.

The academic world has a VASTLY greater emphasis on ego than money. VASTLY. To prove that someone else is wrong can make you famous, especially if that other person is prominent. So, science tends to tear down false premises, not build on them. Nobody in academia makes a lot of money and the vast majority have secure jobs, and the ONLY room for "advancement" lies in fame and ego...
