Nathan Thompson Visits All 31 NFL Stadiums For Fallen Friend

Nathan Thompson and Joe Lusk went through West Point together. As huge football fans, they planned to take a road trip across America and stop at all 31 NFL stadiums.

Lusk's helicopter crashed during a routine training mission in Kuwait, just ten days after leaving Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in 2005. Now, nearly five years on, Thompson is planning on taking the road trip he never went on, and raising money for the Cpt. Joe F. Lusk II Memorial Fund, which aids military organizations and provides grants for students.

Though education and the military are the foundation's focus, anyone can apply for assistance through the website. You can also follow Thompson as he documents his journey with his friends on 31Stadiums.com, where they've already raised $2,000.

Want to help them but don't have any money? If you're on their route you can offer a place to stay, a home-cooked meal, or help them with some gas money.

Thompson appeared on CNN to promote his trip and discuss his fallen friend:
