John Liu Becomes First Asian-American Elected To Citywide Office

White City Council members will be in the minority for the first time based on Tuesday's general election results. And, as expected, voters certified the election of John Liu, 42, as city controller, making him the first Asian-American to win a citywide office in the Big Apple.
