What's Your Reaction?

Following Bill Thompson's concession, Mayor Bloomberg delivered his victory speech to a cheering crowd.

Comedian Jimmy Fallon lauded the mayor during an introductory speech.

While it was not quite the blowout he was expecting, a win is a win and Bloomberg will serve a third term as Mayor of New York City.

I wish Michael Bloomberg was my mayor!

While i share other peoples "troubles" about him changing term limits, it is impossible to deny the tremedous good he has done for the city of New York. He is going to go down in history as one of the cities greatest leaders, mark my words!

...then why did he have to spend double digit millions to get reelected? Did some of it go to getting rid of the pesky term limit?

Not a chance. He made it way too easy for private luxury development to take priority, and lost completely on that gamble. Then, despite the fact that there is so much empty housing in NYC, he's been unable to make lemon-aid out of lemons by creating more affordable housing (something he was supposed to have done anyways, but failed miserably on).

Trust you don't want Mike as your mayor! If he was your mayor you wouldn't be able to live where you live! The housing would be too expensive!

He has hurt my neighborhood. Oh but I live in t he Bronx. Only Manhattan island counts -- unless you are George Steinbrenner and you want to build a new stadium -- with tax payer's dollars -- on public park land. How easy it was for two rich men to take that beautiful park away from poor families in the South Bronx.
