Obama Watched Documentary On HBO Instead Of Election Results, Fox News Falsely Reports

The Christian Science Monitor:

Whatever precipitated the ill feelings that the White House has toward FOX News, the network wasn't doing itself any favors today.

Speaking on the morning broadcast (see video below), Fox News host Martha MacCallum reported that President Obama opted to watch an HBO documentary about his presidential campaign instead of last night's election results.

This kind of sloppiness should be unacceptable to Fox viewers. Unfortunately they seem to prefer outright lies rather than truth that isn't to their liking. Amazingly, they are the ones that are always screaming about 'the media' that is lying to them, but they have an arm of the republican party, masquerading as a news outlet, doing just that, and they are fine with it.

What will they come up with next? I thought they were so gung-ho on pulling themselves up by their bootstraps which is what Obama is trying to do with the whole country after Bush left us on our derriers. And they just moan and groan. They actually preferred the virtual reality called politics under Bush. Well, if they continue to try and grind Obama down on everything he does hoping for failure, they might just get their wish. What they don't understand, though, is that we'll find ourselves in a sea of shite and then who is going to row us out? The GOP? Good luck!

Hilarious to me that Fox assumes the president had to wait for the film to be aired on TV in order to see it, as though this were 1955. (I wonder if he had to adjust the rabbit-ears antenna to get a better picture? "Damn this vertical hold," the president was heard to say.) Gives you an insight into the fuddy-duddy mentality of the network and its viewers.
