Indeed, spending records from the New York City Campaign Finance Board show that Bloomberg handed over more than two million dollars to Connections Media under the category of "Internet ads." Do the math, and it turns out that out of the whopping $145 that Bloomberg spent to pull each of his voters into the polls on Tuesday, just about $3.75 per voter went to buying Google ads and other online advertising.

If he spent that much, guess how much he'll make back in kickbacks and bribes.

Bloomberg is going to have to hit up the federal government to get the kind of budget New York City deserves for adequate infrastructure spending. Either that or Governor Paterson will have to hit up the federal government to make sufficient room in the budget for the demands of the city. Bloomberg and Paterson need to insure that the municipal and state budgets aren't on a starvation diet.

It's no good for America if the workers in sanitation, utilities, MTA, EMT, FDNY, and NYPD are struggling as much as they have been. I want to know for a fact that workers and union leaders are able to say they're not facing working conditions which are degrading their health on the job. I'm concerned about particulates and gases in the subway tunnels. If there isn't adequate protection for MTA workers respiratory health, it's as if we live in a city of Morlocks and Eloi (minus the cannibalism).

A 100 million here; a 100 million there; what difference does it make? I got to deliver the swine flu vaccine to my buddies, didn't I? Can swine be inoculated from swine flu?
