Sarah Palin Tries To Keep Low Profile In Wisconsin

CNN:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is set to deliver remarks at a Wisconsin Right to Life event Friday evening, one of the few speeches the former Republican presidential nominee will have given since she resigned the governorship last summer.

But Palin appears to be doing her best to keep a low profile on this trip: no press will be allowed into the Milwaukee auditorium where she will speak and those who have paid the $30 admittance fee are unable to carry in cell phones, cameras, laptops, or recording devices of any kind.

Fuzzy Math Behind Palin Book

Sarah Palin must be praying that her Monday appearance on Oprah will lead to a slot on the talk show maven's book list. In spite of a rumored 400,000-plus first print run for Palin’s memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life, which comes out Tuesday, November 17, the Daily Finance crunches a slew of numbers to reveal that HarperCollins might not want to bank on the book. Palin made the book deal last May, has received a $1.25 million retainer, and is expected to receive up to a $7 million advance, by the time Going Rogue arrives next week. Factoring in actual versus projected print runs for paperback and hardcover copies, Amazon—Wal-Mart—Target discount sales, ghostwriting fees, and the potential total payment to Palin, the Daily Finance claims that HarperCollins will need to sell more than 400,000 copies of the book just to break even—and that’s only if Palin’s total advance was a measly $5 million.

What's to report anyway? I'd rather read the comics. Just as many laughs and they make a lot more sense than this ditzy broad.

Our modern day Aimee Semple McPherson probably wants to put on a show for the 'fire and brimstone' set. Nothing like mixing a little incomprehensible screechy/preachy rhetoric about how government should be run with some fundi/conservative religious fervor. Death panels, abortion/birth control, freedom/tyranny, race mixing, gay marriage, global warming/clean coal/energy independence. Lawdy, I can here them speaking in tongues already.

If this was president Obama, the Palinistas would be braying at the moon. ''What is he hiding? He's planning the downfall of the country. OK, Sarah, what are you hiding? Why are you afraid to face the press? Uhh, is it the fact that they would possibly ask some hard questions, like ''what is McCain's world view''?

So the point on reporting this Huff Po and CNN? Why do you contribute to this woman's ego?

Not that a progressive like myself would ever pay $30 for ANYTHING Sarah, but if I was a TRUE conservative and not the hypocritical religious zealot kind - it would be well worth $30 to get thrown out of such an event for calling her out as a 'toxic poison' to conservatism.

State of Alaska population versus USA cities:

#1 New York City, NY pop 8,363,710. (over 8 million people)
#2 Los Angeles, CA pop 3,833,995
#17 Fort Worth Tx pop 703,073
#18 Charlotte NC pop 687,456
#19 State of Alaska pop 686,293 (47th most populated "STATE" in the USA)
#20 Memphis Tn pop 669,651
