Many are works in progress. The others too impractical.
(You want to innovate, HP, do away with this LOUSY flash interface for displaying photographs.)
This slideshow is mislabeled. The obelisk can indeed be thought of as a concept for furniture in a futuristique context (smaller homes - need for versatile use of space - need to have ability to minimize the volume of the furniture not in use) and there are some other pieces that also fit into this idea (though in a more wasteful manner) but most pieces don't offer an innovative concept that can really be translated into mass production. They are beautiful pieces of art, and I would gladly display some of them, but I'd rather sit on something else...
Someone's been trying too hard.
I think the Obelisk is brilliant. It doesn't increase the cost of the chairs, and allows for a nice way to protect them from the elements. The rest of the projects *are* nonsensical crap.
I agree 100%. Obelisk is actually a real product - you can buy it now. The Germans are not known for their high fashion furniture design, but this one elevates their standing. Practical and wonderful.
Buy this nonsensical crap and you can sit on the floor alone to admire it because your friends wont be over for the game more than once.
I need to be able to move it around the room easily and by myself. It needs to support my back and have soft arms and I should be able to have my legs up if I want them that way....Oh gosh, a small recliner on those nifty little wheels. that's what I want. And, oh yeah, it has to be CHEAP and GREEN (not the color).
