These are Bewick's Swans, as opposed to the more common Mute Swan, or the similar, but larger, Whooper Swan.

one of the most beautiful 'attractions' in dorset, england, is the swannery at abbotsbury - itself a beautiful village. if you love swans, try to visit abbotsbury if you can:
