Burleigh Hines was not only a fine news reporter in the "old fashioned" classical sense, but he also was an extremely nice human being. My condolences to his family.
He was really top notch.
At a time when black faces were few on the television screen, Burleigh Hines was there doing the jobs. How many hundreds of human interest stories did we see with him? Thank you for making a difference.
