ABC News:

Though the White House had been shooting for the president to make an announcement about his new strategy in Afghanistan and Pakistan between November 7, which was to have been the date of the Afghan run-off election, and November 11, when the president was to have departed for his trip to Japan, China, Singapore, and South Korea, that window now appear to be all but closed.

UNYIELDING HONOR WORLD WAR III

Weakness invites moral plight, war and aggression
Encouraged by mistrust, misjudgment and delay.
All we love can be destroyed and transformed
By the powers of darkness maneuvering our way.

When something wicked stares us in the face
To corrupt our morals, faith and resolve.
God gives us courage to defend what’s right
No matter the sacrifice or danger involved.

Evil seeks to destroy the good in man
And silence the memory of God’s law.
It’s up to the faithful to stay unyielding
Defending the liberty and justice of all.

Our men and woman who serve in harm’s way
Are the armor of what the free world depends on.
Without their sacrifice of body and soul
All that we stand for is gone.

Obama doesnt seem to have a goal or what we hope to accomplish before we can take our troops out of there. The troops shouldnt have to stay in another country losing their lives while a decision and plan that should have been made months ago is being left on a cold burner while we are bailing out failures and ramming a pretend health bill down our throats. He needs to bring our troops home.

President Obama never gave a deadline for his decision. MSM have been trying to read the tea leaves and guess. Will it be before or after the run off election, will he announced before his trip to Asia since there is no run off election. The media knows nothing. Last thing Obama said on camera was weeks ago to NBC and stated that he might make a decision before the runoff election but may not announce it before the runoff election in afghan. Last week he asked for 4 additional options. He has not received them yet.

Every member of the administration has shot ever so called reporter down when they suggested a deadline. At no time and in no way, did the president or any member of the administration even suggest that November 7 was a deadline. Now members of the press corp did. They were told that they were wrong at least 3 times during the same press conference. Pundits speculated that November 7 was a deadline because they are paid to say something, but the White House repetitively stated that they would not commit addtional troops or resources to Afghanistan until they were convinced that they had a viable mission. And yet, day after day, all we hear from the media is troops, troops, troops. They do not care what these troops are suppose to accompish. The do not care how we define success or failure. All they care about is ginning up the public with their lame speculation.

So his royal highness is poised to send tens of thousands more americans into harms way to support a drug dealing taliban regime, with NO MISSION FOR VICTORY, NO DEFINITION OF WHAT VICTORY IS, NO EXIT STRATEGY, and HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS MORE IN DEBT AND WAR PROFITS TO THE PROFITEERING POWERS THAT BE. Well with a decision like that, it might as well be CHENEY IN THE WHITE HOUSE. Obama is a totally ONE TERM PITIFUL PRESIDENT, a tragic extension of BUSH.

Its actually nice having a president that doesn't jump to decisions, looks at the whole picture then doesn't try to stampede the country into a bad decision.

161 American servicemen have died in Afghanistan since Gen. McChrystal submitted his recommendations to the White House on Aug. 30th.

Deaths in Afghanistan have progressive increased since McChrystal took over. McChrystal submitted his recommendations to the media before he submitted them to the White House.

I'd much prefer that he take his time and come up with a coherent, reasoned policy, rather than just rashly reacting to whatever the whim of the day might be. Or, for the simpletons out there...better to measure twice, cut once, then cut twice and then thrown out the ruler (right Deceider).
