POLITICO:

Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Tex.), the head of the Republicans campaign committee, caused a stir at last night's Rules Committee meeting when he suggested that treating female-related health conditions was comparable to insurance-company imposed restrictions on smokers.

"Why should a woman pay more than a man?" asked New Jersey Democrat Frank Pallone, according to the Courthouse News Service.

Senator Franken's amendment gives protection for Federal contractor employees. The amendment makes it mandatory that Federal contractor employees, who are victims_ of egregious_ crimes_ have the right to a day in court.

Here's a list of the Senators who showed support for the rapist_ to hide their crimes_ in arbitration. The arbitrators are paid for by the contactors. This means the the contractors have a greater chance of winning the case and are able to hide their crimes increasing the chance of the crime being re-committed.

It's time to get some real men and women in office who actually care about their constituents.

It's no coincendance the names in that list are Republican. The fact that Republican women aren't making this an issue points also to a class factor as well.

"Honey, you WOOOOORK for a living! Don't you understand you're asking for it?"

This seems to be a reoccuring theme amongst Republican men. They have no respect for women and feel they should be at home tending to womans work. Republican women must agree because they're in the party and vote for these guys.

Woman pay more because they are likely to become pregnant, get raped and assaulted or undergo domestic violence- all conditions caused by proximity to men.

Being supported, loved, cherished and being partners for life raising children are also conditions caused by proximity to men. I'm wondering if you hate men.

I'm saying that men are part of women;s risk factors , yet their healthcare is deemed cheaper.

Men or hate aside, I wonder if you just like paying more due to gender.

Men are more likely to have Prostate cancer, do they pay more?? No.

So a disease like Prostate cancer and other diseases that afflict only men or mostly men don't count against the price.

It only counts against the price if you are a woman or a smoker.

Yeesh. Well, Session, in all fairness, stupidity is also a pre-existing condition. So you should pay more for your healthcare too.

White Republicans = God ?

Ever try to talk to a Right Wing Christain about Politics ?
Try it and see how totally ignorant they are about the history of the USA. They only know what the RNC tells them or one of their preachers. Money is their God in reality.

Nah, he was quoting Rudyard Kipling:

A woman is only a woman, but a good cigar is a smoke.

(no, I don't know what he meant either)

Next up, the Sessions amendment - all women to get free sexchange operaions, so Republican politicians can make passes at them in the airport men's room.

This is the party whose most famous women members are Palin and Bachman .. is it any wonder they have no respect for women??

Look at who they have as examples.

Damn, where are the Ann Richards when you need them? I miss her. I keep hoping eventually a Republican woman will say something. I was hoping for Kay Bailey Hutchison(sp)to defend women. I am a very patient person. I'll wait.

Obviously women and gays have made these lifestyle choices that they simply must pay for now.

I know it's just me, but...
aren't we fighting extreme fundamentalists in the middle east (religious extremists who believe that women are second class citizens)?
You know the kind of people who have a law (Sharia law in Saudi Arabia, parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan) where women can't go out in public without a male escort that is either their husband or part of their family?
Now, with this type of attitude from mr. Sessions, aren't we wasting money fighting against people who have a similar philosophy towards women as what appears to be the thought process of part of our political establishment (the Reps)?
If that's in fact the case, shouldn't we stop shooting at those people? Just asking.

btw, Isn't Goldman Sachs doing GOD's work while pilfering the American taxpayer?

I tried to reply to your comment, but can't find it.

Yes, I agree, it seems that religion is being used as an end to justify means that truly do not reflect Christianity, Muslim or other teachings.

Once again, the mortals are using their religions to justify their own misguided means.
