Politics Daily:

Sue Lowden's campaign to unseat Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in his 2010 re-election bid took a nosedive when she laughed about an assassination attempt against Reid

The former chairwoman of the Nevada Republican Party had emerged from the GOP pack of little-known Reid challengers to become the front-runner after a poll in late summer showed her leading Reid by 45 percent to 40 percent, with 15 percent undecided. But Lowden's boomlet burst when she appeared recently on a conservative radio talk show and snickered about the veracity of a 1981 incident in which a bomb was found under the Reid family's station wagon.

I really think that most of you criticizing this woman are just partisan a$$es who's first kneejerk reaction to anyone with an R after their name is to sharply criticize them. Just like Obama's thoughtless comment about the polices' actions preceding the now priceless "Beer Summit"

How on earth can *anyone* for *any* reason make light of a bomb being found underneath someone's car? Does this woman not realize that were she to win, that could be her? Somehow, I don't think she would feel the same way if a bomb was found under the car her family rides in.

Have politics in this country sunk so low that it's now a joke when your opponent and their family members lives are threatened?

I think the GOP is on to something. They think women belong at home. I'm in total agreement, keep republican women home and out of office.....

I think we should pass a Constitutional amendment requiring a sanity test for all politicians. We'd lose some Dems, but it would keep Republicans out all together.
Seriously - at what point did these people lose their minds? and why doesn't the media report that as such, so we can have a fair and balanced discussion of the obvious mental illness of the GOP and how we can get them the psychiatric help they so obgviously need.

I used to sit with Sue occasionally on the Southwest Air Las Vegas-Reno shuttle, which flies on the hour all day and serves as sort of a giant networking site for politicians, business people and educators. She is very good looking and works very hard to keep up her good looks. But, unfortunately she has never given nearly as much attention to her mental development. She is absolutely perfect in her role in the Nevada Republican Leadership which has brought us dull bulbs like John Ensign and everyone's favorite corruption investigation Governor Jim Gibbons. If by some miracle, she does defeat Senator Reid, she will be the Senate equivalent of Michele Bachmann.

No Rasmussen predicted Obama would win better than any other poll! Rasmussen does not poll all adults only likely voters! According to RCP Rassmussen choose Obama 52% to 46% actual result 52.9% to 45.6%. You are WRONG! That is why you libs find Rassmussen polls so damaging you have to attack him! Attack the messenger because you don't like the message.

you are losing ground in the Rockies ...the only place you are viable is in the south and you cant beat Obama in Florida...why because you guys are anti immigrant ...you will lose two more senate seats in Ensign and Vitter.and the GOP is gonna muster up who???barracuda

Rasmussen is a policy apparatus of the Right Wing

http://www.mydd.com/story/2009/9/23/144949/710

They are usually off on their polling recognized as "statistical outliers". Typically they narrow the gap with other polls as the event their polling for grows nearer.

The further away from the event the more they tend to LIE and the next presidential election is pretty far off so this poll is statistically useless except for GOP lemmings who need something to feel good about.

This is a scary time in American history. The us and them attitude is killing this country. I thought we lived in a Christian nation. Where are the Christians? All so- callled Christians are said to be Republicans, Farwell followers. They say they believe in James 1:27. But these so-called Christian are trying to deny basic rights to women, children, and poor peo[e. They don't want to pay taxes. They deny women of their rights and don't want to feed hungry children. Read Luke 12:15. Something is wrong.. Who fed the first ship load of European from England in the 1600. They would have die if the Native American had not given them welfare. They were illegal as you can get . Now we dnn;t want to feed hungry people . This is a sad day for the Christain community.

There are still real Christians around. They follow their faith as best they can and are quietly and busily doing the works of Christ. They don't feel the need to be "in your face" about their faith or pound their chests with pride over anything they do. For in their own hearts they know their works have helped others, and that produces its own joy. These people try very hard to refrain from judging others by their own yard stick, it is not their business to do so, but God's business.

Then there are the Christianists. Those that are "in your face" about their faith. They are the ones that are so busy trying to make everyone else live their lives according to their beliefs while they are exempt from doing so for they are "saved". They wear their faith upon themselves as a badge to prove they are wonderful rather than practicing it in their daily lives. They judge everyone harshly, with hate filled hearts and would eat their own in a heart beat if it served their personal benefit to do so. This group feels that they have a lock on God and morality and should be the ones that rule the world.

This second group has hijacked the first group's faith and turned it into something dirty and foul.
