What's Your Reaction?
Sanford

CNN:

With South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford showing no sign that he plans to quit, only one option may be left for critics who want him gone: impeachment.

But legislators on both sides of the aisle in South Carolina believe that the chances of ousting Sanford with an impeachment vote are slim, unless new evidence arises showing that the governor broke the law or abused his power by secretly leaving the state to visit his mistress.

Republican excuses:

Oh yea, let him go, he does no wrong. It was just sex. What's the big deal? It was a mistake. You never made a mistake? This was not the same attitude when it came down to Bill Clinton. Typical repubs, typical hypocrites. Sinford and the south, a perfect fit.

No surprise. However, Sanford has led the SC GOP into a leadership void this past year, allowing the people to suffer.

Did we expect anything less from the party of "Do as I say; not as I do"

"Well your faith was strong but you needed proof, you saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you, she tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair, and from your lips she drew the hallelujah"

Are the voters in South Carolina completely brain dead?

Traffic traditionally runs 15 MPH over the limit on I-26 and I-95 in SC and few cars are pulled for speeding.

I think this is a courtesy extended by the SC Highway Patrol to allow travelers to get across the state as quickly as possible.

Republicans are never held accountable for anything when it comes to leaving it to a Southern White State. You can be the President of the U.S. and lie through your teeth and the Republicans will turn a blind eye and blame it on Bill Clinton or those Godless Democrats. Their real value is in forgiveness of their own kind...Death to everyone else.

If not mistaken, Mark Sanford, along with Vitter, Ensign and others (also caught in adulterous relationships) were calling for the impeachment of Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton did not leave his office, go into hiding, leaving the government without leadership, while lying to his staff, wondering about his whereabouts. Bill Clinton did lie about his tryst, but did not abdicate his duties, or use government vouchers to travel to see his play-mate either. Clinton also did not give Lewinsky a job within the government (she was already employed), and then in a lobbying firm, violating ethics, as did Ensign.
