Monday night John Travolta made his first red carpet appearance since the death of his son Jett in January. Travolta showed up with wife Kelly Preston and their daughter, Ella Bleu, at the LA premiere of 'Old Dogs,' Ella's first movie in which she stars alongside her dad. The nine-year-old actress got plenty of attention on the red carpet--from her parents that is, who kept planting kisses on both her cheeks.

Travolta has said he is using Scientology to help him cope with his grief.

The thing about having extremely good-looking parents is you get to inherit the genes.

I'm so happy to see that the family is able to pull together. Even though the hurt is still there, they're able to continue to show love and support to each other. That's what it's all about.

This is how a real grieving father does press. Take note, Mr. Joe Jackson.

I've always admired this family. They've remained strong and united through devastating circumstances. They're a true inspiration.

Nice looking family.

But the little girl's outfit seems too mature to me, especialy in the next to the last photo.

She's only 9 years old, for heaven's sake! Yet she's wearing stockings, heels, and a rather mature-style dress.

Just hope she gets to enjoy childhood and not feel pressured to perform in public.

She looks graceful to me. I remember wanting to dress up when I was around that
age...it's a little girl thing. Ella Bleu you look beautiful.

I doubt this is her everyday dress style. This is a special occasion. For a Hollywood couple--indeed, a contemporary couple--the Travolta's have shown to be rock solid, as well as loving and caring parents. So many families are dysfunctional--this appears to be a pretty solid family.

I'm glad they're doing well, and respect their choice as to how to do it.

Good to see ya again, JT, but a film with RW means straight to video!

He wouldn't have that grief if it weren't for Scientology.

From your judgementalism, I'm guessing you're a Westboro Baptist.

Good for them. I have close relatives who have been through the sudden, unexpected loss of a child and it's hell. And it continues, though differently, throughout the lives of those affected.
Good for them for choosing to go on and show up smiling. Believe me, it is very hard to do.
