Want to see how bad things can get? Visit a dead shopping mall where the stores are next to non-existent.

i volunteer once a month at the rescue mission. two years years ago we fed about 200 hobos. we now feed close to 1,111 except they are not the traditional hobos we are used to seeing. many are the new homeless families with children. many are white families normally not seen before. also food baskets for needy families have us to the breaking point. there just are not enough donations coming in. when times get tough, the charities are the first to feel the pain.

yet bailouts to the very institutions that caused all this continue.

These are truely distressing times. We can feel it is bad out there but until you see it or experience it, you just don't get it. We are in the worst days of humanity. I have read some of the most vile comments and jokes being made about another man's pain and suffering. And, some have the nerve to blame those who need help the most, for needing help. We are all to blame for where this is now going. Those causing it, those sitting on the sidelines watching it and commenting, and, those refusing to take action because they feel it has nothing to do with them.

The Goodwill in Fort Collins, CO moved from downtown, where all the homeless people live, to the south end of town where the homes are more upscale. I don't know what that says about it, but I think it's sort of sad.
