Nicole Kidman accompanied husband Keith Urban to the 2009 BMI Country Awards on Tuesday night in Nashville. She wore her her now-red hair in loose waves--a relaxed departure from more severe looks she has tried--and a belted red dress.

What's up with the weird hemline on the dress and the no stockings deal. Those are some nasty lookin' knees . . .
Not all redheads. You need to have the ivory skin or a touch of olive skin. The hot pink looks wonderful with the olive skin. I'm 67 now so I have to say I HAD what they called a "peaches and cream" complexion, with lot of pink in skin. A Charles of The Ritz rep made up pressed powder compact in a creamy beige with green to tone down the natural pink. And as a redhead, specifically, more auburn or copper. As a baby my father said my hair looked like a shiny new copper penny. It darkened as I got older. I have to stay with the spring/'fall colors, and more muted. Turquoise is my favorite in all variations, the right yellows, I can wear plum, it's warm, and warmer blues, greens, rusts, browns. There was a blue in the '50's they called copen blue. I loved it.

I agree, except that unless computer software is distorting color too much, it's a little too orangey red, too dark. But in the full photo with Keith she looks fabulous. I think the softer strawberry reddish blonde is best on her.
