Andrew Cuomo is going to help keep him honest too. Weiner and Cuomo both "coulda been a contenda". Well now Governor Paterson is finding his legs and it's going to be more and more difficult to unseat that incumbent. I see Weiner and Cuomo as very promising and hard-working young candidates for the future.

But the team which is in place is going to stay in place for a while. Andrew Cuomo's run for governor will probably be like Bill Thompson's run for Mayor - necessary, but fruitless. Also, former Mayor Guliani doesn't have a prayer of beating Governor Paterson. The true test for politicians is can they stand being strung along, working and waiting for their chance to ascend to a higher office.

What Anthony Weiner is saying here is that he's going to help keep Mayor Bloomberg honest.

Easier said than done, Weiner. You wouldn't have come within 20 percetage votes of Bloomberg. You're just not that popular. Bloomberg is a winner but you are a Weiner. Weiners are for ballgames not mayoral victories.

In fact, he's the first candidate in history with a ZERO % approval rating, when respondents are informed of the TRUTH (rather than totally-false hype spread by a media who got over $200 million from Mike's payoffs)-----heck, he may be the first candidate in history whose OWN SPOKESMAN (Wolfson) wrote an op-ed (in the Times!!) (in 2005) that claimed Bloomberg was cheating the election with his unfair spending!

When you're OWN SPOKESMAN is on record saying you cheat elections, you are unbelievably bad.

(When you buy that same guy off for $40,000 a month, you are clearly the most corrupt pol in US history.)

I can give you tens of thousands of jaw-dropping facts about the most naked emperor this world has ever seen. (NOTHING you know about this crook is real. EX: none of his businesses are a success except the one that someone ELSE made a success and then was bought out by Mike who renamed the company after himself b/c he knew 100% of sheep would be tricked by this scam.)

ARGH!

dear mr. weiner:

no you couldn't have won. you were intelligent to keep your hotheaded ways out of the race, and new york is happier for it. just go do your job, for as long as you have it.

new yorkers with common sense

I only hope he runs against Hillengrand (mispelled) for the Senate in 2010.

Between Cuomo and Weiner they are so popular right now they could have beaten Obama last year. At least in NY.

Bloomberg's people were terrified of him, which is why HE dropped out.! If only they had been less terrified - if only.

Like anyone wants to listen to Anthony WHINER now.

Please.

New York Dems are WEAK and treacherous.

Thompson's narrow margin came from the PEOPLE!!!
Not the NY Dems weak-knee support.
Or lack of.

I can't stand people who puff up their chest about what they wouldn't and would have done when they know good and well that they will never have to prove it. Weiner will never have to put his money where his mouth is on this one.

Of course he could have, and the Phillies could have beaten the Yankees.
