not to worry ! D.O.D has assured me in a letter that D.U. is safe !!

yes I could not believe it my self ! but that is what the letter states ! D.U. is safe !!

Yes Mr, Hatch of Utah was so kind to forward my concerns about D.U. to the dept of defense

do I believe what they said NO! I do not !

D.U. is a horrible thing it lasts a very long time and has been proven to be a weapon of mass destruction

in my opinion of course !!

Depleted uranium ammunition. Nothing new here. We sprayed Agent Orange over Vietnam without bothering what the after effects would be. That's the military for you.

Golly Gee kids this is the U.S. of A and would never use chemicals and radiated weapons against a defenseless population anymore than Israel would use phosphorous and cluster bombs against the Lebanese and Palestinians. This story will never be covered by corporate media.

It's sad to see how few comments there even are on this post.

I suspect the full impact of this sickens a lot of people...like it does me...and one cannot find the words to express the full range of thoughts.

Remember the long denied first GULF WAR SYNDROME. Let's bring our troops home so we can address their health needs as soon as possible.

Wouldn't have anything to do with the types of ammunition we use would it.

We all ready have this disaster in our beloved country, many of our troops comiting suicide
many thousands more with serious mental problems. The pro Iraq war people are definitely
not pro America.

I hope when Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld can sleep at night, they have visions of these children dancing in their head.

This should be on the main page. I hope the MSM media picks the story up next week but they can't be counted on for much,

You know it won't. Because our military as well as other countries that we arm (which shall remain nameless so this post goes through) are using DU - depleted uranium - munitions as we speak. And they have no intention of stopping.

This is sadder because this war was totally unnecessary. Cheney and Bush along with several others who voted for our country to rush and invade Iraq should bear the responsibility.

This is beyond understanding. Our government once again did this to another country? Did we not learn anything from Vietnam? The Vietnamese, hell, even the Japanese, are still counting the birth defects due to the weaponry used in their countries. And WE did it -- are doing it -- again? Good god. There's so many implications ... ... but I keep coming back to this: If we can't elect intelligent educated people to represent us wisely and well, then the world will soon have had enough of us. Perhaps that's what's happening now. And we will have no one but ourselves to blame.

The solution is to deny everything. "We had no idea there would be after effects!"
And they say that with weapons, chemicals. drugs, and products that we consume
everyday. Then the court cases drag on for years until the affected ones have died
and been forgotten.

Well, once we do know - and we know now! - then we can force them to stop.

Question: Who's "them?"

Answer: The Military Industrial LEGISLATIVE Complex - usually abreviated MIC or MILC.

We now know that at the time of JFK's passing he had just signed an executive order disbanding the CIA. Check it out, it's true... Its undoing happened on the fourth day after Johnson took over.

Put that into modern historical context and what do you expect from our current POTUS?

I would imagine so after all that "depleted uranium" in our weaponry. That stuff has been brought back here to American families as well. R.u.m.s.f.e.l.d should be tried and imprisoned for allowing that stuff in our weapons, especially knowing that it would affect our soldiers as well as the so-called enemy. That just goes to show you that the object was to get two birds with one stone. You need to read about this stuff and see the videos on YouTube about depleted uranium. It will disgust you!

My neighbor was station in Bahrain for two years. He complained that while he guarded a ammo supply area, his testicles would ache the whole time he was on duty. His commanding officer warned him that if he ever wanted to have children, he should request a transfer to some other duty, because of the depleted uranium.

They know what they're doing. They just don't care who it hurts.

It's genocide. There are DIA studies done to assess what denying Iraq "dual use" chemicals *(chemicals Iraq used for water purification) would do to their infant mortality rate.
