I don't quite understand those who nay-say the concept of a green economy. I think it's rather reflexive and doesn't represent true contemplative thought.

I'm sure anyone who says they are not in favor of policies that encourage renewable energy and a green economy will no doubt change their tune when the money comes in.

Protecting reefs in the sense of restricting access won't be enough. Rising global atmospheric CO2 means ocean acidification and no reefs to protect.

slithers doesn't understand the concept of cap and trade. The idea is to provide incentives for private investment by avoiding having to pay a justified open market premium for failing to make such investments. No taxes involved.
