I gotta admit that I was originally skeptical of her "walking calamity" public image. I saw pictures of her from '02 and she looked like a Republican housewife -bob w/bangs, Sunday blouse etc. I wouldn't put it past anyone in the music biz to tart themselves up, leak tales of gargantuan substance abuse and act like Sid Vicious in order to repackage themselves as a tortured songwriting genius. Beats being just another mediocre solo act right?
But no, she really is that much of a cliche.
Bummer, she wasn't bad on that Ghostface song either.

Amy Winehouse is the contemporary Billie Holliday, maybe even better as she writes a lot of her own music.

I hope she is well and sings for decades to come!

I, too, love Amy Winehouse's talent.

But Amy, just like Billie Holiday, has some serious issues.
